Salt and Dry at The Pop-Up Hotel during Glasto 2017

As you may already know, working out food and beverage arrangements for the hotel is one of our favourite things to do. It can be tough on the waistline, but we're prepared to endure to ensure we have great eating and drinking options for our guests.

And we think we've done just that; our taste-buds are delighted that Salt and Dry will be joining us for our pop-up during this year's Glastonbury Festival. We've worked closely with these guys before at Cornbury Festival and they're a talented, friendly bunch, so we're excited to have them with us for Glastonbury.

The Salt and Dry team is headed up by Matt Edwards, who honed his skills with the likes of Hix, Quo Vadis, Fino, The Harwood Arms and St John, before setting up his own Master & Servant restaurant in Hoxton Square.

At the same time he created Salt and Dry which specialises in taking great food out to all types of venue (sometimes in its own fleet of vintage vehicles all kitted out to serve great food and drink).

Top notch when it comes to delivering excellent high quality, freshly cooked food, the team have custom designed a mouth wateringly good menu especially for our Glastonbury pop-up.

Guests will be able to start the day right with a breakfast or brunch full of deliciousness:

    daily smoothie menu
    granola and yoghurt
    toast and homemade jams
    Welsh rarebit on sourdough
smashed avocado on toast with eggs any way
and obviously a great cooked breakfast with all the trimmings.

And we'll also offer an all day menu which is a variety performance in itself and includes:

    nuts and snacks
Salt and Dry hot sausage roll
gazpacho or avocado soup with chipotle and corn
    charcuterie, cheese and pickles
    fresh salads
    delicious house burgers
    calamari with lovage salsa verde
Hereford steak with pommefrites and sides
    salmon filet
    plus side dishes and desserts.

A well stocked bar will be open from 8am to 3am, serving all your favourite tipples, plus soft drinks and juices, coffee and artisan teas, all served by Salt and Dry's friendly and experienced staff.

Plus we have something a little special in the pipeline for the Wednesday and possibly the Thursday evening, but more on that at a later date. For now you can be sure of a great wining and dining experience at the hotel to help fuel your festival experience.

The bar and restaurant are open to pop-up hotel guests; we have beautiful furnished tented options for those who enjoy sleeping under canvas, plus our new edgy Urban Quarter lockable rooms, so if you haven't booked your stay with us yet, don't wait too long (your taste-buds will thank you for it).
