If the romance of canvas isn't for you and you prefer your hotel room to have four walls, a solid door and more of a downtown vibe, read on.
The Urban Quarter is a brand new concept for us in 2017 and will sit alongside the canvas rooms at our pop-up during Glastonbury Festival. It was borne out of an idea to provide an edgier alternative for festival go-ers who wouldn't consider themselves a glamper, but would still appreciate some boutique comforts for their stay.
The Urban Quarter will be on our established site on the edge of the festival and will benefit from all the services that keep our return guests returning; great food and a well stocked bar, luxury showers and toilets and even a swimming pool and spa if the mood takes you. It's ideal for those who want a hotel room close enough to the action, but far enough for some rest and relaxation -no daily commute to the festival required.
There will be 51 solid structure rooms, including 19 with en-suite facilities, to keep you and your belongings sheltered from the elements, after all, Glastonbury wouldn't be Glastonbury without one welly-wearing downpour.
Each room includes:
- Space for 2 adults
- Twin or double (proper) beds
- Room lighting
- Desk or table and chair
- Power supply
- Full linens including duvets and pillows
- Towels and toiletries
- Clothes hanging space
- Solid walls, floor, roof and door
- Windows with blinds
- Lockable front door
- En-suite option has shower (hot water), basin and toilet
