Being on our doorstep, Glastonbury is always one of the key events of our calendar and was our very first major pop-up. As locals, we've been going to Glastonbury Festival for years - it's close to our hearts.

We first popped-up alongside the festival in 2011 and we've been providing alternative festival accommodation for people who want a stay with some home comforts and boutique hotel services ever since.

Many of our guests come back to stay with us whenever they are lucky enough to get tickets and so we've enjoyed their company since our very first year and look forward to our annual catch-up.

Just for clarity, as we're not part of the festival, we can't provide tickets or pop-up on the site itself, but we enjoy our autonomy and our position on the fringe and here's why.

Our guests tell us that they like the fact that we're close to the action, but far enough away to offer some space and peace when that's what's wanted. Our bar, restaurant, spa and wellness facilities provide a relaxing break from the hubbub of the festival and are always well subscribed.

Some of our guests come to the festival as a 'once in a lifetime' experience, or as part of a special celebration. And for those guests, our furnished accommodation, where they can stay as a group if they like, plus our facilities and services help to enhance their festival experience and turn it into something even more special. We know this, because they tell us so.

We've been located on our current site for a number of years now and we think we have a great location with easy initial access from the main road and our own secure parking right alongside. The walk into the festival is easy - a flat 10 minutes or so to the closest pedestrian gate - no hills to climb and no need for a shuttle.

Every year we evolve and grow - that's not to say we're so huge that it's difficult to find your room (we listened to guest feedback that they liked us just the size and shape we are). We're talking growth in terms of the experience on offer; our rooms are beautifully furnished, the showers and loos are the best you'll find in a field anywhere, our en-suite accommodation is specially designed and where else will you find a pool (fingers crossed for sunshine!)?

We know that we're not everyone's choice - that people do love coming to the festival and being in the thick of it all the way through, but as the festival recently said, there is increased demand for off-site accommodation and our aim is to provide a great option for people who want to go that route.

We also agree with the festival's position that care should be taken when choosing your accommodation provider (we prefer ‘alternative’ to ‘unofficial’ :). For the record, we have a long-standing reputation that we work hard to maintain; we are fully licensed by Mendip District Council each year, are inspected by Environmental Health, carry full employer and public liability and are members of the Association of Independent Festivals. We're also particularly proud to have been inspected by and earned Visit England accreditation, which we believe is a first amongst all the temporary accommodation providers at Glastonbury.

So we'll be there in June as always, in our usual spot on the edge.
