Hotel guests often arrive before the big weekend to get in early and make the most of their stay. But what to do on those evenings before the festival action starts in earnest?

Hotel guests often arrive on the Wednesday and Thursday before the big festival weekend to get in early and make the most of their stay. When you arrive at The Pop-Up Hotel, we'll check you in and show you to your room, you'll have a chance to make yourself at home. You may want to wander into the festival to get your bearings. But what next; how to keep all the positive vibes and anticipation that winning tickets, preparing and looking forward to festival season and actually getting here has built up? We think we can help you out there.

Festival feasts

We first introduced festival feasts for last year's Glastonbury guests and they were enjoyed by all. This year we're partnered with Salt and Dry to provide our restaurant facilities. We've worked closely with these guys before at Cornbury Festival and they're a talented, friendly bunch, so we're excited to have them with us for Glastonbury.

The Salt and Dry team is headed up by Matt Edwards, who honed his skills with the likes of Hix, Quo Vadis, Fino, The Harwood Arms and St John, before setting up his own Master & Servant restaurant in Hoxton Square. And they've come up with a mouth wateringly great menu for our Glastonbury pop-up, including two special welcome events to get your Glastonbury party started.

For the Wednesday night: a Somerset Pit Roast Welcome Feast including pit roasted hog, slow cooked the old fashioned way, in a pit, over oak and beech wood, pit roast turbot cooked high in the smoke or Stuffed chimichuri romero peppers plus all the sides, rounded off with profiteroles and chocolate sauce - everyone's favourite.

On Thursday night: a sumptuous Indian Feast, featuring pit roast tandoori Somerset lamb, flash roasted spiced monkfish or cumin roasted whole cauliflower, delicious side dishes and rounded off with a desert of mangoes & pineapples with coconut kulfi.

Both evenings will include fabulous eats and some live music to get your feet in the mood for the weekend ahead. These ticketed welcome feasts on the Wednesday and Thursday are only open to The Pop-Up Hotel guests for Glastonbury and they're the perfect way to get your festival party started. If you've booked to stay with us, keep an eye out for our emails, they have all the information you need.
